			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For a while now I&#8217;ve been wanting Google to add the ability to sort and filter my Gmail inbox.  I even went as far as requesting this feature be added, but not surprisingly it was ignored.   However, I have discovered a way to get at least the filtering part.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not terribly intuitive, but makes some sense when you get used to Gmail.   The trick here is to use a &#8220;label search.&#8221;</p>
<p>To filter your inbox for all unread messages you would issue a search that looks like this:</p>
<p>label: Unread</p>
<p>For all &#8220;Starred&#8221; messages:</p>
<p>label:Starred</p>
